In Jan. 2016, Thomas Barsoe, the executive producer and certified platinum pop/R&B recording artist, envisioned opening the doors to “the home of OC Hit Factory, Orange County’s coolest, state of the art recording studios and live venue.”

In Jan. 2017, Barsoe aspired to put Orange County on the urban map by launching OCHF’s urban division. On Feb. 25, 2017, Zhavia auditioned. Barsoe signed the young artist to a management deal.

Throughout the year, the then 15-year-old developed her singing, songwriting, and recording skills with the producers, singers, and songwriters at OCHF. She participated in OCHF songwriting camps and music videos.

In Dec., the singer auditioned for Fox’s new singing competition.  On Jan. 4, she was the first challenger on the premiere episode of “The Four: Battle for a Superstar”. On Jan. 7, she attended the Golden Globe Awards. On Jan. 18, Zhavia won the challenge for her seat on the third episode of “The Four”.

Two years after opening its doors, OCHF has been lining up artists for major TV productions.  On Jan. 4, Zhavia became the first challenger to earn a seat on “The Four: Battle for a Superstar”.  On Jan. 10, OCHF held auditions for “The Voice.”  On Jan. 20-21, OCHF held its first AGT singing camp.

Those registered for the camp spent Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. working with OCHF’s vocal instructors.  At 5 p.m. on Sunday, the singers auditioned for the “America’s Got Talent” producers.

Zhavia epitomizes the success story of a girl whose life changed forever by coming to an OCHF audition. OC Hit Factory welcomes undeniable talent to audition for “The Next Big Recording Artist”.
