Orange County Restaurant Week will celebrate its ninth year as the region’s most celebrated culinary event, with the 2017 Orange County Restaurant Week held from Sunday, March 5th through Saturday, March 11th.
This year’s list of participants will include 100+ OC Restaurants that offer diners a wide variety of options, from casual and family friendly establishments, to upscale and fine dining, which will allow for a “luxe experience” with a select group of menus priced at a $80 price point!
During the weeklong event, more than 100 participating restaurants will offer special three-course menus, many with a cocktail or signature item at no additional charge.
Each restaurant will have the freedom and flexibility to showcase its best offerings by talented chefs who will, no doubt, personalize each menu to reflect their individual culinary style.
Participating restaurants will offer prix-fixe menus within the following price categories: lunch for $10, $15 or $20, and dinner for $20, $30, $40, $50, and $80.
Once again this year, a limited number of restaurants will offer a special $80 “luxe” menu featuring dinner with wine or cocktail pairings.
Guests will have the opportunity to search the list of more than 100 participating restaurants by name, location and price point at .
The 2017 participating restaurants can be found online at http://www.
“It’s hard to believe we are entering our ninth year of OC Restaurant Week, which continues to showcase the county’s leading culinary talent and serve as Orange County’s largest culinary celebration,” explained Pamela Waitt, president of the OC Restaurant Association.
“This year’s event will, no doubt, be the most successful event yet, with many longtime favorites and new restaurants participating side by side!”
OC Diners are invited to tag their photos with #OCRW2017 between March 5th and March 11th to be entered to win two tickets to the OC Chef’s Table event on Sunday, March 12, 2017 benefiting the Illumination Foundation. The event will be held at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, where the winner will receive a complimentary one-night stay following the event ($2,600 total prize value).
GIRL SCOUT COOKIE DESSERTS
During OC Restaurant Week, select restaurants will offer delicious desserts inspired by and featuring Girl Scout Cookies! Some of the OC Restaurant Week participating restaurants will host local Girl Scouts for a Preview Tasting, where girls will get the chance to taste the sweet treats and meet with the restaurant’s chef – all important as many of them strive to earn culinary and business badges.
OC RESTAURANT WEEK LAUNCH PARTY
This year’s festivities will kick off with an official “FIRST BITES” Launch Party on Saturday, March 4th at Irvine Marriott. Guests attending the launch party will have the unique opportunity to experience an array of “first bites” prepared by a variety of OC Restaurant Week participating restaurants. “Partnering with the OC Restaurant Association for OC Restaurant Week continues to be a great opportunity for Destination Irvine to garner exposure for Irvine’s global cuisine on a broader scale,” said Wendy Haase, Director of Tourism Marketing for Destination Irvine.
“The partnership also allows us to support Orange County’s culinary scene, which is a big part of why people visit the destination.”
