Cinépolis USA – a popular movie theater chain known for its enhanced moviegoing concepts – is holding its first food drive initiative that will help the Orange County community, timed to the holidays.
There are numerous ways the community can get involved in the cinema’s efforts to help the local community as well:
- Activation: Cinépolis USA is partnering with OC Foodbank to be a donation center for moviegoers and the local community to drop off food items to help the hungry. This is a national food drive, and the first, for Cinépolis USA.
- What’s the incentive?: The theater is giving away complimentary popcorn to guests who donate two or more food items.
- Background: The idea came when discussing “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” release on November 20 and seeing how to leverage the anticipated high-volume foot traffic to help the community. The result is this food drive to help fight hunger during the holiday season.
- Timeframe: November 12 – December 4, 2015.
